“My name is Julio Salazar, Jr. I was born on April 23rd 1986, in Dalton Ga. My parents are Julio Salazar, Sr. and Velia Salazar. I have two younger siblings, Yesenia and Brandon, and two children of my own, Alyssa and Ivanna Salazar. I graduated from Southeast High School and now manage our family owned business, El Pollo Alegre.
Serving the greater Dalton area has come naturally to me as I grew up watching my father build friendships with our customers. From his bakery in 1997 to 19 years of the best chicken in town, I am determined to expand while sustaining my father’s legacy.
Being a smaller local business during COVID-19 has been difficult, as I’m sure similar establishments have experienced. I feel blessed for the amount of support and patience we have received during this pandemic and the passing of my father. That is why the greater Dalton area will always be my home.”
