Rosa Cuna

“My name is Rosa Cuna, the Director of External Affairs at the Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce/Believe Greater Dalton. For over 25 years, Dalton has been my home. I grew up attending Dalton Public Schools and later earned my bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Dalton State College.

Over the years, I’ve become deeply involved in the community, serving on boards, and joining groups like the Dalton Civitan Club and Greater Dalton Young Professionals. These experiences have allowed me to contribute to Dalton’s growth and connect with the incredible people who make this place special.

Dalton has come a long way since I was growing up. It’s full of new things to experience, enjoy, and be proud of. The downtown area has really flourished with all the new restaurants and small businesses popping up. It’s amazing to see so many places to grab a bite, shop, or just hang out with friends. I’m also excited to see the growth in youth sports programs, offering kids more opportunities to stay active, learn, and have fun.

One of my favorite spots in town is Burr Park. Every summer, we make memories there—grabbing dinner at a local restaurant, meeting up with friends, and watching our daughter slide down the grassy hill and play with her friends. The Friday night concerts have become a tradition for us. The warm evenings, live music, and sense of community make it such a fun experience.

I’m truly excited to step into my new role and be even more involved in the community. With all the great things happening in Dalton, I feel so blessed to be part of it. I look forward to making a positive impact and helping Dalton continue to grow.”
